The procedure of a root canal treatment is where there is removal of the dead or dying nerve inside your tooth that is causing pain.
Almost all the time, there is formation of an abscess inside your teeth just like a pimple on your skin and this needs to be ‘popped’ and drained.

Once that is done we need to clean the ‘canal’ that the nerve was in with LASERS, OZONE and other chemicals and then seal it with a special filling called a root canal filling.

But the main thing is to get rid of the infection by seeking dental care. Do not delay.
If you wait too long to get root canal therapy then the bacteria infecting the tooth could spread and cause the bone and even more teeth to become infected.

Following are the steps of a root canal procedure:
We will start the root canal therapy by creating a hole through the crown of the tooth down into the roots where the root canal procedures take place.
The infected pulp is removed from the root canals and the area is then thoroughly cleansed to prepare for a special root canal filling.
There are cases where the pulp chamber cannot be cleaned out completely, so a few days of draining may be required.
If this occurs during your root therapy, a temporary cap will be placed on top of the tooth until your next visit.
If the previous step was necessary for your root canal treatment, then your temporary cap will be removed and a special root canal filling is placed into the canals and then sealed for good.
A permanent crown will be placed on the tooth at a later stage to prevent the fracture of the tooth, which will signify the end of your root canal therapy.

Is it worth noting that most dentist can perform root canal procedure.
However if there is a difficult case then we would refer you to an endodontist.
